University of Kurdistan Donates Over One Thousand Books to Sanandaj Public Libraries
In a significant cultural initiative, the Central Library of the University of Kurdistan has donated 1,056 volumes of books covering various scientific, literary, and educational subjects to the Sanandaj Public Libraries Administration. This action aims to enrich library resources and increase the per capita reading rate within the community.
According to the University of Kurdistan Public Relations Department, the Technical Services Section of the Central Library transferred the collection of 1,056 books across diverse fields to the Sanandaj Public Libraries Administration to facilitate public access to scientific and cultural resources. This valuable collection, previously provided to the University of Kurdistan by the National Library of Iran and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, covers a wide range of topics, including history, counseling, psychology, religion, literature, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the donation includes educational aid resources for various academic levels to benefit students.
Recognizing the importance of balanced information resource development, the Central Library of the University of Kurdistan has taken this step to advance knowledge and promote the culture of reading throughout the province. Beyond strengthening the archives of public libraries, this initiative will provide researchers and book enthusiasts with greater access to up-to-date and practical resources. In conclusion, the management of Sanandaj Public Libraries, while commending the University of Kurdistan’s cultural approach, expressed hope that continued bilateral cooperation will lead to a more vibrant reading environment and enhance public awareness across the province.
