Director of the Employment School and Head of the Department of Food Science Appointed
The President of the University of Kurdistan has issued separate decrees appointing the Director of the Employment School and the new Head of the Department of Food Science. These decrees emphasize the development of skill-oriented education and the strengthening of the link between academic instruction and the labor market.
According to a report by the Public Relations Office of the University of Kurdistan, Dr. Adel Sioseh-mordeh has appointed Dr. Salahuddin Manouchehri, a member of the university's faculty, as the "Director of the University Employment School and the official responsible for its establishment and development."
In the text of the decree, the Employment School is characterized as a strategic pillar of the university, tasked with enhancing the professional capabilities of students and graduates, increasing employability, and bridging the gap between theoretical education and the practical requirements of the labor market. The school will operate under the Directorate of Industry and Community Relations. It is expected to provide a successful model for the sustainable linkage between the university and society by leveraging scientific capacities and fostering interaction with the industrial and service sectors.
Furthermore, the President of the University of Kurdistan appointed Dr. Maryam Mohammadi as the "Head of the Department of Food Science," effective February 24, 2026 (5 Esfand 1404), citing her academic merit and extensive experience.
Dr. Sioseh-mordeh wished the newly appointed directors success and expressed his appreciation for the dedicated efforts of Dr. Fardin Tamjidi, the former Head of the Department of Food Science, during his tenure in the position.
